Doris Coelho's Obituary
Andover - Doris (Ouellette) Coelho, 83 of Andover, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Coelho.
Born in Andover on August 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Antoinette (Raymond) Ouellette. She was educated in Andover and attended St. Augustine School in Andover. Doris worked the soda machine at Letourneau Pharmacy in Lawrence, where she met her husband, Alfred. She later worked at Zayre’s and Centronics until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing with her husband, as well as playing BINGO and cards, including 45’s, poker, and scat. She loved spending time with her family, especially at family cookouts.
Doris will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Barbara Corneau and her husband, Ted of Andover, Brenda Soucy and her husband, Michael of Methuen, Ann Valiante of Dracut, and Michael Coelho and his wife Maura, of Dracut; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Denise Ouellette of Andover and Carol Martin and her husband, Keith of Derry, NH; her sister-in-law, Shirley Robichaud of Methuen, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Joseph Valiante and her brother, Bob Ouellette.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Doris’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9 – 11 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her graveside service will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home, and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Doris’s family will understand and respect your decision.
