Diane N. Amaral's Obituary
Diane N. Amaral, 59, Methuen, MA, passed away on Thursday March 7, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital, with her loving family by her bedside.
Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Amaral. Diane was raised in Methuen, MA along with her four siblings, and was a graduate of Methuen High School, Class of 1983.
While raising three children of her own, Diane continued working. One of her favorite jobs, however, was at the Department of Developmental Services as a Family Supporter. Diane got great personal satisfaction from selflessly helping others.
Diane will be remembered for her kind soul, her generosity and beauty. Words will never be enough to explain what an amazing woman she was. Diane loved to sing, read, garden and she loved dragonflies and lighthouses. Diane would move mountains for her children but would move worlds for her grandson. To Diane, family was her everything and to her family, she was everything. She lit up a room anytime she walked in, she welcomed and loved everyone like they were her family. She left a huge imprint on this world, and she will forever be missed. She is our sunshine.
Diane will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of her children, Vincent Sarcione, Mackenzie Sarcione, and Jaidyn Manley, all of Methuen, MA, grandson, Dominick Sarcione of Methuen, MA, brother, Roger Amaral of Salem, NH, sisters, Maria Peixoto of Salem, NH, Jean Giguere and her husband, Daniel Cook of Windham, NH, Edwardina Lima and her husband, Vasco of Methuen, MA, best friends, Dale Gordon-Payette of Kingston, NH and, Heidi Gallivan of Methuen, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Wednesday March 13, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA 01844. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 14, at 11:00 AM, in St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA.
