David B. Woekel's Obituary
David B. Woekel, 69, of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from complications of a previous heart attack, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Tewksbury, MA, on October 31, 1955, David was the beloved son of the late Chester and Lorette (Lenane) Woekel. A proud graduate of Greater Lawrence Vocational High School, Class of 1975, he dedicated 35 years of hard work as a flock worker at Malden Mills in Lawrence before continuing his career in security with Merrimack Valley Guard.
David was a man of many passions. He had an undeniable need for speed, from slot car racing to NASCAR, snowmobiling, and boating. He was happiest outdoors, especially when fishing, and was a devoted sports enthusiast who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. His sharp wit, kind heart, and love for life will be missed by all who knew him.
David’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his twin brother, Chester A. Woekel, and his wife, Kathleen, of Methuen. He was a cherished uncle to Melissa Muller and her husband, Jeffrey, of Sandown, NH; Chester Woekel II and his girlfriend, Jinger Micciche, of Methuen; Shelley Brown and her husband, Charlie, of Florida; and Kurt Watson of Florida. He also leaves behind four beloved great-nieces and nephews: Joseph Woekel, Branson LaFollette, Sabrina Muller, and Caleb LaFollette.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate David’s life during calling hours on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. A celebration of life service will follow at 12 PM, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
