Cyrill J. Rousseau's Obituary
Cyrill J. Rousseau, 79, longtime resident of Methuen, passed away surrounded by his devoted family on February 5, 2019 at the Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury. Born on June 30, 1939, to the late Henri and Aurora (Houle) Rousseau in Lawrence, MA, he attended Lawrence Schools. A proud US Army Veteran, Cyrill worked for many years at Kraft Foods until his retirement. A lifelong Catholic, he belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the British Club, and the Elks Lodge. Cyrill enjoyed socializing with his friends, deep sea fishing, and had a great sense of humor. He touched many lives in many different circles and he fondly will be loved, cherished and missed.
Cyrill is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly (Cote) Rousseau of Salem and his six children; his daughter Jeannette Jason and her husband John of Dracut, his son Cyrill J. Rousseau III and his wife DeeDee of Atlanta, GA, his son William Rousseau and his wife Heidi of Methuen, his son Michael Rousseau of Haverhill, his daughter Christine Rousseau and her longtime companion Mario Ringuette of Haverhill, and his daughter Kelly Rousseau and her son Lucas of Methuen. He was the proud grandfather and great-grandfather to his 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Cyrill is also survived his four siblings; Alice Puglisi of Salem, NH, Joseph Rousseau and his wife Carol of Methuen, Alfred Rousseau Sr. and his wife Joanne of Seabrook, NH, and David Rousseau of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cyrill was preceded in death by his sister Carol Werner.
Visitation for Cyrill will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 9 AM – 12 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service for Cyrill will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Disabled American Veterans, VA Regional Office, John F.
