Constance "Connie" S. (St Laurent) Bourget's Obituary
Constance S. “Connie” (St. Laurent) Bourget, 97, longtime resident of Methuen, passed away on October 31, 2018 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center in Lawrence surrounded by her family. Born to the late George and Alice (Beauchesne) St. Laurent on September 11, 1921 in Lawrence, she was raised and educated in Lawrence. After high school, she attended the McIntosh Business School. A lifelong devout Catholic, Connie was a communicant for Our Lady of Good Counsel/Saint Theresa’s Parish, where she was a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Rainbow Club. She worked for as a bookkeeper for Canteen Corporation at Raytheon. Always a selfless woman, Connie volunteered over 8000 hours at Holy Family Hospital and enjoyed bowling and swimming. She and her husband ran the Burger Queen in Methuen for many years.
Connie is survived by her two beloved children: her sons, Norman A. Bourget and his wife, Norina, of Dracut; and Leonard R. Bourget and his wife, Marcia, of Springfield, VA. She was the proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren and great-grandmother to fourteen. Connie is also survived by one brother and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Normand A. Bourget, with whom she celebrated 46 years of marriage together. Connie was also predeceased by her six siblings.
Visitation for Connie will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel/Saint Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. Interment to follow at Bellevue Cemetery, 170 May St., Lawrence, MA.
