Concetta R. (Savastano) Cunha's Obituary
Connie was born in Lawrence, MA and grew up in a family of seven brothers and four sisters. She was the daughter of the late Alberico and Assunta (DeLuca) Savastano.
A graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1948, she worked at Mass Mutual Life Insurance Co. and later the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner until her retirement in 1995. Love for travel led her to Europe, Hawaii and throughout the US. Her faith, cooking, baking, cake decorating, family gatherings and calls to many dear friends were most important to her. She loved music, attending musicals and singing with family.
A lifelong member of now Holy Rosary Shrine in Lawrence, she was a member of St. Rita’s Sodality and the Legion of Mary.
Connie married Vasco Cunha in 1955. She leaves her beloved children, daughter Valerie (Charles) Kaslow and son Joseph (Kaarin Syvinski) Cunha as well as her precious grandchildren Danielle Kaslow, Brianna Lui and Nathaniel Cunha.
Connie was the beloved sister of Olga (Philip) Grossi. She was predeceased by brothers Charles (Emma), Harry (Carmela), Guido (Victoria), Dante, Roland (Lillian), Edmund (Orsola) Albert (Maureen) and sisters America, Maria Angela, and Lucy (Lucien) Charette.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday February 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in Holy Rosary Shrine, 28 Union St, Lawrence, MA. Burial to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barker St., Lawrence, MA.
