Clementina M. (Messina) Federico's Obituary
Clementina M. (Messina) Federico, 104, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Salvatore Federico, with whom she shared sixty-three years of marriage.
Born in Lawrence on December 4, 1919, Clementina was the loving daughter of Ignazio and Maria (Gervasi) Messina. With a keen attention to detail and a steadfast work ethic, she dedicated over three decades to clerical roles in local retail offices before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Clementina had a zest for life. She delighted in trips to coastal Maine because she loved being near the ocean. Perusing the local shops was always a part of the sea side trips that ended with a lobster roll and French fries by the ocean. She also enjoyed and was excited to go to the casino and would play the slot machines for hours.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Clementina will be deeply missed by her three children: John Federico and his wife Jeanne, Michael Federico and his wife, Mary, and daughter, Kathryn Federico. Her pride and joy extended to her four grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Theresa Messina.
Family and friends are invited to honor Clementina’s remarkable life during calling hours on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her funeral service will follow at 12 PM at the funeral home, with burial afterward at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clementina’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, or www.heart.org, or to a charity of one’s own choice.
