Claude R. Brisson's Obituary
With heavy hearts but cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Claude R. Brisson, 85, of Danville, New Hampshire formerly a longtime resident of Lawrence, MA, on Friday, May 8, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Valleyfield, Canada, Claude was the beloved son of the late Wilfrid and Lucille (Viau) Brisson. He carried the warmth and strength of his family roots throughout his days.
For many years, Claude poured his heart into his work as a dedicated carpenter making and repairing bowling alleys for Brunswick Corp and ultimately retiring in 2005 from Gold Crown Service of Marlboro. Beyond his work, Claude found joy in life’s simple and special pleasures. He adored traveling, especially with his wife, where they made unforgettable memories together, winters in Florida, collecting stamps, and spending as much time possible with his family.
Claude was a member of the Local Union III, Council # 67 Knights of Columbus, and belonged to the Samuel Osgood Stamp Club.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Marjolaine (Thibault) Brisson; and his siblings, Helene Ferland, Denis Brisson, and Gilles Brisson.
Claude is survived by his three loving daughters, Brenda Tardif and her husband, Michael of Danville, NH, Kim Jaster and her husband, Samuel of Seabrook, NH, and Michelle Hartnett and her husband, Keith of Malden, MA. His greatest joys were his five wonderful grandchildren, Allyson Croswell and her husband, Chris, Matthew Tardif and his wife, Brittney, Emily Albanese and her husband, Francesco, Kelly Jaster, and Ryan Hartnett—who were the light of his life and will carry his spirit forward; and his cherished two great- grandchildren, Connor and Sarah; siblings, Pierre Brisson, Jacques Brisson and his wife, Laurie, Ginette Carrier and her husband, Jeff, Diane Connor, and Yvon Brisson. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives he touched so profoundly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Claude’s life during calling hours on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, Massachusetts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Theresa's Parish, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
