Claire B. Poirier's Obituary
Claire B. (Boisvert) Poirier, 92 of Lawrence, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Born in Lawrence on September 9, 1926, she was the daughter of Ernest and Aurore (Soucy) Boisvert. She worked as a wirer for Western Electric for over 30 years until her retirement. In her free time, Claire loved playing Bingo and 45’s, as well as working on jigsaw puzzles. She also regularly supported the American Heart Association.
Claire will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Shirley Morin and her husband, William of Derry, NH, Beverly Mallette of Florida, Diane Cote and her husband, Clement of Lawrence, and Arthur J. Poirier, Jr of Japan; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Roland Boisvert of North Andover; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Claire’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen. Entombment will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum in Lawrence
