METHUEN ? Vietnam War Veteran, Chester P. Kozdra 63 of Methuen died Wednesday August 5, 2009 at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of Chester H. and Virginia (Andrews) Kozdra. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army, he received and honorable discharge and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal and two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the American Legion in Derry, NH and the V.F.W. Post 8349 in Methuen.
He leaves his wife of 38 years Donna L. (Kern) Kozdra of Methuen.
4 children Charlene A. Kozdra of New Hampshire, Chad P. Kozdra and his wife Khrista of Hillsborough, NH, Paula L. Berry and her husband Mark of Methuen and Kellie A. Rodriguez also of Methuen.
10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00p.m. ? 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. ? 9:00p.m. at Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later date at the families? convenience.
