Charles G. Torosian's Obituary
Charles George Torosian, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 23, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Massachusetts.
Charles was born at home in Methuen, Massachusetts to Thomas Torosian and Helen Torosian (Guimond) on March 17, 1942. A lifelong resident of Methuen, Charles was employed by Malomite in Lawrence, MA and later became the owner/fence installer of Torosian Fence Company in Methuen, MA. For 45 years he loved the independence of being a small business owner and loved working with his customers and being outdoors. He acquired many friends throughout the years. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying summers at Salisbury Beach camping and fishing, cruising to Bermuda, and tinkering in his garage. He had a natural talent of playing the guitar which he enjoyed on occasion. Charles touched the hearts of many who he came in contact with through his genuine love of life and love he had for his family. He also loved to wear his Hawaiian shirts and crack jokes.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diana Torosian (Dargoonian) as well as his son, four daughters and their spouses, Charles and Laurie Torosian of Londonderry, NH, Bridget and Rick Trottier of Litchfield, NH, Carlene and Harold Magoon of Salem, NH, Stacey and Darrin Mottram of Derry, NH and Darlene Torosian of Hampton, NH, his brother Thomas Torosian and wife Kitty, of Methuen, MA, his sister June Speight of Methuen, MA and his sister Rebecca Penney of Litchfield, NH. He was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his two sisters, Ramona Burns (Torosian) and Marie Hargreaves (Torosian).
Visitation for Charles will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 110 North Lowell Street, Methuen. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is proud to serve the Torosian family.
