Charles E. Martineau's Obituary
Charles E. Martineau, 66, lifelong resident of Methuen, passed away at home on April 28, 2020 surrounded by his devoted family. Born on July 28, 1953 to the late Gerard and Catherine (Cool) Martineau, he was raised and educated in Methuen, graduating from Tenney High School with the Class of 1971. After high school, Charles worked for many years as a machine operator for Gillette until his retirement. Upon his retirement he took a part time job as a bus driver for Methuen School District. As a man who enjoyed the many simple pleasures of life from collecting coins and pocket watches, being a devout Patriots fan, Charles made a deep and loving impact on all those he loved. From enjoying time on the open road on his motorcycle, tinkering with his 1930 pickup truck, releasing stress at the gun range or doing puzzles, he will always be fondly loved and missed by all.
Charles is survived by his beloved bride Sandra V. (Matseas) Martineau of Methuen with whom he celebrated almost five decades of marriage together. He was the dear father to his two daughters; Michelle Regan & her husband Timothy of Derry, NH, and Kathy Martineau & her wife Sondra of Candia, NH. Charles was the proud grandfather to his five grandchildren; Kristy & Timmy Regan, Amara Phelps, and Eryk & Brian Letourneau. He is also survived by his dear sister Donna Blanchette & husband David of Methuen, his brother Ralph Martineau & his wife Lorraine of Sandown, NH, several nieces & nephews and his best friend of nearly sixty years Bill Beaulieu.
