Ceferino Torres' Obituary
Ceferino Torres, 80, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was born on January 30, 1940 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Ceferino worked for many years as an automotive mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed many of the simple pleasures in life; watching wrestling, baseball, working on cars, and spending time with family. Ceferino touched many lives in many circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Ceferino is survived by his loving children; his son Ceferino Torres Jr of Nashua, NH and his son Julian Torres of Haverhill, MA. He is also survived by his longtime partner, Candita Rentas, also of Haverhill and was the proud grandfather to his three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ceferino is survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by all his siblings.
Visitation for Ceferino will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 9 AM – 12 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service for Ceferino will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery, 110 North Lowell Street, Methuen.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home and the cemetery, and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Ceferino’s family will understand and respect your decision. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ceferino’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Kenneth H.
