Catalina F. (Bermejo) Soriano's Obituary
Catalina F. (Bermejo) Soriano, 91, of Methuen, passed away at Boston Medical Center on July 30, 2018 surrounded by her devoted family. She was born to the late Manuel and Catalina Bermejo on July 7, 1927 in Peru. Catalina enjoyed spending her free time at the Methuen Senior Center, was an active member of her congregation at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and was the beloved matriarch of her family.
Catalina is survived by her dear son Walter Soriano and his wife Mary Rose of Newburyport. She was the proud grandmother to her three grandchildren; her grandson Walter Soriano II and his wife Meg of Dracut, her granddaughter Stephanie Soriano-Mills of Boston and her granddaughter Stacey Marcotte and her husband Paul of Atkinson, NH. Catalina was the cherished great-grandmother to her 9 great-grandchildren; Janel, Alex, Christian, Amaris, Lily, Jonathan, Kingston, Jacob and Sophie. She is also survived by two sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews. Catalina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angelo Soriano in 2000 and they celebrated 55 of marriage together.
Visitation for Catalina will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 110 N. Lowell Street, Methuen.
