Carmen Narvaez's Obituary
Carmen Narvaez, 101, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Friday April 19, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital, with her devoted family surrounding her, with love and peace.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jesus and Esperanza (Febus) Narvaez. She was a homemaker for all of her life having the privilege of caring for her kids and especially her grandchildren here in Massachusetts.
Carmen enjoyed her life to the fullest but enjoyed being around her family sharing in laughter and memories the most. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her daughter, Felicita, going to yard sales every Saturday, or going for drives to visit her grandchildren. She was a protector at heart and known to many for her sassy ways, but one thing she wanted everyone to know was her love for the Lord.
Carmen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her only daughter and primary caretaker, Felicita Roman and her husband, Jorge Delgado of Methuen Massachusetts, son, Arcides Roman and his wife, Christina Blackhedge of Florida, son, Steven Roman of New York, son, Thomas Roman and his wife, Laura Roman of Georgia, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sons, Hector Salgado of Florida, Eugenio Adorno of Puerto Rico and Gilbert Roman of Georgia.
A Celebration of Carmen’s Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Riverside Church located at 278 Groveland Street, Haverhill, MA 01830 from 10am-12pm. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carmen’s name can be made to Riverside Church to continue their work in missions and community engagement.
