Candida Maria. Díaz Céspedez, de 86 años, de Lawrence, falleció el martes 4 de marzo de 2025 en su hogar.
Candida nació en Salcedo, República Dominicana, el 3 de Noviembre del 1938 y fue hija de los difuntos Otilio y Amelia Céspedes Espinal
Candida se crió en la República Dominicana y llegó a los Estados Unidos para proveer un mejor futuro a su familia. Estuvo casada durante 67 años con su amado Vinicio Díaz. Era una persona muy religiosa y una ferviente feligresa católica que creía profundamente en Dios y en la Virgen María. Fue miembro de la Legión de María y del Corazón de Jesús. Sobre todo, amaba a su familia y disfrutaba viendo crecer a sus hijos, especialmente a sus nietos y bisnietos.
Candida fue la querida esposa de Vinicio Díaz. Fue la amorosa madre de Natividad Burgos y su esposo Nicolás, Catalina Torres y su esposo Bienvenido, Lucilo Díaz, Daisy Díaz, Luis Díaz y su esposa María, y Humberto Díaz y su esposa María, María Medina y su esposo Ricardo, Edwin Díaz y su esposa Yrene, y Nurys Díaz. Fue precedida en su partida por seis hermanos. Fue la apreciada abuela de 23 nietos y 28 bisnietos.
La visita para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Kenneth H. Pollard, 233 Lawrence St.,
Methuen, el Domingo 9 de marzo de 2025, de 1 a 4 pm. La Misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará en el Santuario de la Santo Rosario, 28 Union St, Lawrence, el lunes 10 de marzo de 2025 a las 10 am. El entierro será en el Mausoleo del Cementerio de la Inmaculada Concepción.

Candida M. Diaz, Cespedez, 86, of Lawrence, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home.
Candida was born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic, on November 3, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Otilio and Amelia Cespedez. Espinal
Candida was raised in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States to provide a better future to her family. She was married for sixty-seven years to her love, Vinicio Diaz. She was very religious and was an avid catholic parishioner who believed strongly in God and the Virgin Mary. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and Heart of Jesus. Most of all she loved her family and watching them grow up, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Candida was the beloved wife of the Vinicio Diaz. She was the loving mother of Natividad Burgos and her husband Nicolas, Catalina Torres and her husband, Bienvenido, Lucilo Diaz, Daisy Diaz, Luis Diaz and his wife Maria, and Humberto Diaz and his wife Maria, Maria Medina and her husband Ricardo, Edwin Diaz and his wife Yrene and Nurys Diaz. She was predeceased by six siblings. She was the cherished grandmother of twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Rosary Shrine, 28 Union St, Lawrence on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum.
