Bruce T. Olson's Obituary
Bruce T. Olson, age 61 of Chester, NH passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at UMASS Medical Center of Worcester. Bruce was born in Wausau, WI on July 24, 1956 to Thomas Olson and the late Clellie (Thompson) Olson. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1974. Bruce was a longtime employee of Vicor Corporation of Andover.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and riding his tractor. He enjoyed making a yearly hunting trip to Virginia with his cousin and best friends. Bruce loved Mexican food, watching Western movies, listening to Motown music, joking and playing practical jokes on people, and caring for his home which he took great pride in.
Bruce was a very giving person, who always took time to help others by lending a hand. He would never ask someone if they needed help, Bruce would step right in, take charge and help someone with a project. Bruce loved spending time with his family and friends, they meant the world to him. He will be remembered as a very loyal friend.
Bruce was the beloved husband of Victoria (Landry) Olson. He was the devoted father and stepfather of April Todis and her husband Nelson, Jaime Olson, Glenn Landry Jr., and his wife Leah, and Patrick Jabour and his girlfriend Hayley Johnson. Bruce was the dear brother of Sue Ann Hempfling and her husband John and Jackie LeBlanc and her husband Mike. He was the loving grandfather of Hailey Todis, Lily Landry and Mason Landry. Bruce is also survived by his nephew and dear friend Jeremy Sparks who he considered a son, several other nieces and nephews, and several longtime close friends.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Great Hill Cemetery of Chester, NH. In January 2017, Bruce received a second chance at life by receiving a liver transplant. To honor his memory, donations may be made to the New England Organ Bank, 60 First Ave. Waltham, MA 02451.
