Blanche A. LeSage's Obituary
Blanche Annette (Pepin) LeSage, age 87, of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, due to a sudden illness.
Blanche was born on January 30, 1936, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to her parents, Alphonse and Alma Pepin. Blanche earned her high school diploma and worked various jobs throughout her life, starting at a shoe factory, where she met the love of her life, Alfred LeSage. Later in her life, she did wiring and sauntering at many companies in the Merrimack Valley, including General Electric, Raytheon, and MKS Instruments.
Blanche loved spending time with her family, including trips to the beach and the zoo. She participated in the Methuen Senior Citizen’s Center Bowling League for over ten years. Blanche was also a meticulous sewer, and she volunteered to make hundreds of baptismal gowns for St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Alphonse Pepin, Rene Pepin, Marie Berube, Richard Pepin, and Stella Perry.
Blanche is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Alfred LeSage; her son, Gary LeSage and his wife, Patrice, of Sandown, New Hampshire, and their sons, Jay and Ben; her son, David LeSage of Salisbury, MA, and his son, Wade; and her daughter, Pamela Calcagno and her husband, Michael of Lawrence, MA, and their daughters, Victoria and Gina. In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Albert Pepin and his wife, Claire.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Blanche’s life by gathering for her calling hours from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
