Beverly A. Ferrante's Obituary
Beverly A. Ferrante, 72, longtime resident of Methuen and the Merrimack Valley passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. She was born on December 4, 1948 to her late parents John and Alice (Peters) Ferrante in Lawrence, MA. Beverly was raised and educated in Methuen, graduating from Tenney High School with the Class of 1967. After high school, she continued her education and received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Administration from Merrimack College and continued on to earn her graduate degree in a Masters of Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA.
Beverly was an ordained minister and served as the Interfaith Chaplain at Lawrence General Hospital for many years until her retirement. Always known for her service to others, she was involved in Methuen politics and many community events. Beverly was a charter member of the Methuen Festival of Trees and was a highly active member of that organization. She was proud of her town and community and took a passionate role in her ministerial calling and civic involvement. Beverly lived simply with the principles of God, love, family and friends. She enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures such as spending time with her dogs Patrick and Maddox, playing the slots and trying her hand at luck in the casino. She loved being with family and especially spending holidays together. Beverly touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Beverly is survived by her Aunt Eleanor Peters whom she loved dearly and kept close to, many cousins, family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Nevins MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Visitation for Beverly will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10 - 11:00 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral, 233 Lawrence Street. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at the funeral home. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is proud to serve the Ferrante family.
