Beatrice A. (Lynch) Plourde's Obituary
Lawrence ? Beatrice A. (Lynch) Plourde, 91 of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Mary Immaculate Health Care Services in Lawrence. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice J. Plourde.
Born in Lowell on February 17, 1923, Beatrice was the daughter of William and Anna (Gagnon) Lynch. She attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School.
Beatrice worked as a stitcher for Stride Rite in Lawrence for over 10 years and then at Sears in Methuen for 12 years until her retirement. In her free time, Beatrice enjoyed participating in making prayer beads at Mary Immaculate to send all over the world. She was an avid reader and loved football, especially the New England Patriots.
Beatrice will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters, Ann Marie Mason of Haverhill and Donna Desrochers and her husband, Robert of Haverhill; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and her several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 2 sons, Richard and Michael Plourde and 2 sisters, Doris Guidry and Helen Kycia.
Beatrice's Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 9 AM at St. Monica's Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Friends are kindly asked to proceed directly to the church. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Beatrice's honor, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
