Barbara Packard's Obituary
Barbara (Bettle) Packard, age 65, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Barbara was the beloved wife of Joyce Coppola, MD. Little did each know Barbara’s wild curls, purple jacket and plate of brownies would win Joyce’s heart and turn into forty-one wonderful years of lasting memories.
Barbara was born in Brockton, MA, on January 21, 1956 to the late Roger and Shirley (Harrington) Bettle. She was the dear sister of Patricia Baylor and her husband, Gary, Bernard Bettle, Nancy Upham and her husband, Paul, and Bonnie Bettle. She was predeceased by siblings, Donald Bettle and Mary Bettle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the long- time office manager of Coppola Medical Associates of Pawtucket, RI. Barbara and her wife, Joyce would regularly spend the summers at their home away from home, in York, ME. Barbara always remained young at heart. She was the reader of all bedtime stories, the captain of pajama races, and would never turn down a good coloring contest. Lover of all animals, there wasn’t a plush toy out there that she didn’t want to make sure had a home. Barbara enjoyed sharing her laughter, her music and her newest craft of balloon animals. Not sure who smiled more, Barb or the recipient, but one thing was certain…it made her happy!
