Barbara Louise McEneaney (nee Folley)'s Obituary
Barbara Louis McEneaney (nee Folley), 83, of Peterborough, NH died on November 4, 2017 at the Summerhill Retirement Facility in Peterborough.
Barbara was born in Andover, MA on July 1, 1934 to her parents, Herbert Ross and Bertha Kent Folley.
Barbara grew up in Andover, attending Indian Ridge Elementary, Andover Junior High School and graduating from Punchard High School. She also attended Boston University and graduated with both teaching and business degrees. During school vacation breaks, Barbara would travel to see the country. She met and married her husband, Charles, while they were both working at Raytheon in Andover. Barbara and Charles moved to Seabrook, NH after their retirement. Barbara relocated to Peterborough to be closer to her mother and her brother James after the death of her husband.
Barbara liked to travel, ski, swim, read, sew, knit, but most especially she loved to play bridge. Barbara taught and played this card game everywhere she went and made new friends doing so. She enjoyed being with people and cherished the residents and staff at Summerhill, which was her home for many years.
Barbara is survived by her three siblings; her brother, Herbert Folley and his wife Lorraine of Methuen, her brother, James Folley and his wife Karen of Bennington, NH, and her sister, Carol Russell of Forest Grove, Oregon. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband.
