Barbara Ann Lovell's Obituary
Barbara “Ann” (Hatfield) Lovell, 89, of North Andover MA, passed away after a brief illness on November 17th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Lovell. Her children; Douglas, James (Denise), and Scott Treadwell (Nate Tansky), and Bob’s children; Beth (Kevin), and Rick (Terry). And her beloved grandchildren Taylor, Dominique, Megan and Katie. In addition, the many friends and family members who loved her.
Born August 31, 1936, in Andover, MA to Mary Elizabeth (Bourneuf) and Clarence Hatfield. She is the youngest of four children; Paul Hatfield, the late Shirley Bouvier, and the late Patricia Hatfield.
An avid reader, gardener and lover of cooking, Ann’s life is highlighted by her dedicated volunteerism in the church. Notably, the Emmaus House, which she collaborated with other volunteers to build from the ground up - serving the homeless community in the Haverhill area. She was involved in the Cursillo Ministry through St Basil’s Monastery. She was employed as a Purchasing Agent at Nevins Nursing Home, and then served many years as a librarian in the circulation department at Haverhill Public Library. Her most cherished volunteer assignment was working in the library at her grandchildren’s school library, the Soule School.
Through all travel adventures and professional achievements, her greatest affections remain with her family.
Family and friends are invited to visitation from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Methuen Family Funeral Home (formerly Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home), 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am, November 24, 2025 at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
