I first met Barbara in 1973 when I joined the ranks of Raytheon. In fact, she was the person who trained me for my position.

A strong friendship evolved. We took trips to Bar Harbor, Maine, Foxwoods, Newport, Rhode Island and Mystic, Ct.

I remember the day we took a boat ride to the Isle of Shoals and got great seats in the bow of the boat. We wondered why no-one else wanted to sit in the front of the boat.
We soon find out why as the waves came splashing up on our faces and hair. We laughed a lot that day. I remember Barbara commenting, "I feel like a drowned rat".

We shared many happy times together over the past forty five years.

She was a true friend and I will miss her greatly.

Auntie Barbara,
My mother loved you so much, she gave you my name, and my brother your husband's name. So many happy memories of Thanksgiving in your home with Uncle Frank playing the harmonica while Skoshi howled and Nana made the raviolis and cat ears. You were my mother's best friend, talking to her every day. My dad had wanted to visit you when he was at Greystone.
So happy we were reunited recently.
I know your goal in life was to see your granddaughter married and your grandson's new baby. That you did! Peace to Gary, Kathy, the kids and their spouses.

Auntie:

In the 12 years I was privileged to know you, you always treated me as your own niece, not an in-law. You were my rock when Frank was in the hospital a few years ago, faithfully checking up on me each morning to make sure I was taking care of myself. You always made me laugh and see the practical side of things. How am I doing now that you're gone? "Sh**ty, sh**ty, sh**ty!"
