Arthur "Archie" N. Halloran Jr.'s Obituary
Arthur “Archie” N. Halloran Jr., age 81 of Lawrence passed away on October 15, 2018 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center. Arthur was born in Lawrence on February 18, 1937 to the late Arthur N. Halloran Sr. and Helen (Casey) Halloran. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Andover Country Club. Arthur was a member of the British Club in Lawrence. As a young child, Arthur’s grandmother taught him to play cards and throughout his life he enjoyed playing many different cards games. Arthur was a longtime employee of the Lawrence Housing Authority. He was also a proud Army Veteran.
Arthur was the beloved husband of Genevieve (Cleary) Halloran with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Brian Halloran and his wife Cherie, Tara Tucker and her partner Jim Stearns, and Kristen Dube and Michael. He was the dear brother of Mary Ellen Chaisson and her husband James, the late Cornelia Dow, the late James Halloran, the late Lawrence Halloran, the late Joseph Halloran, the late Katherine Kelly, the late Richard Halloran, the late Francis Halloran, the late William Halloran and the late Susan Winstead. Arthur was the loving grandfather of Jonathan, Joseph, Jaime Lee, Brianne, Kelsey, Nicklaus, and Sarah. He was the cherished great grandfather of Anthony, Jacob, Jaythian, Alexandra, Gianni and Jonathan. Arthur is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, October 19, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Augustine’s Chapel, 128 Ames St. Lawrence.
