Arlene Scott's Obituary
Arlene Scott, age 90, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Nursing Home in Lawrence. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Scott.
Born in Boston, MA on October 10, 1934, to Albert and Mary (Gardner) Smith, Arlene was a woman of unwavering kindness, generosity, and resilience. Known for her independent spirit, she found joy in walking through the bustling streets of cities like Boston and New York, soaking in their vibrancy and culture. Above all, Arlene treasured the time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she adored creating memories with them that will live on forever.
Arlene is survived by her devoted daughter, Kathleen Lynch, and her husband, Daniel, of Lawrence, and her five grandchildren: Rebecca Nyman and Gina Trenholm, both of whom she lovingly raised as her own children, Phillip Lynch, who held a special place in her heart as “the son she never had,” and his wife, Emma, Melissa Nyman, and Gary Russo. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her four children, Leann Russo, Linda Trenholm, Deborah Page, and Patti Scott; two grandchildren, Wendy Russo and Matthew Trenholm; and her dear sisters, Millie and Mary.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Arlene’s life at calling hours on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, at 11 AM, followed by her burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
