Arleen L. (Begin) Larnard's Obituary
Arleen Larnard, 82, of Methuen, passed away on April 6th, after a long and fulfilling life.
Arleen was born on December 23, 1942, in Lawrence, MA. She was raised and educated in the community, graduating from Sacred Heart High School.
Arleen married Richard Larnard in 1966, during their fifty-eight-year marriage they had three children: Pamela, Laurie and Eric. She was employed for many years at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover.
Her catholic faith was very important to her. She was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother and was a long time, active member of St. Monica Church in Methuen, MA. She faithfully attended Novenas for many years and was a member of the Ladies’ Solidarity of St. Lucy’s. She loved to read, play games and laugh with her family, friends and especially her thirteen grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children: Pamela King and her husband Anthony, Eric Larnard and his wife Michelle and Laurie Simmonds, her brothers and sisters and their respective partners: Ronald Begin Sr, his wife Barbara, Henry Begin, his wife Judith, Yvonne Kivell, Rena Pomerleau, her partner Tim, Della Flemming, her husband John, Rose McAvoy, her husband Robert, her thirteen grandchildren, her great grandson, Aidan and her closest and dearest friend of more than forty years, Rosalie Salmon.
Arleen was predeceased in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose, her brother, Albert, her brother Richard and his wife Julie.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4:00 PMto 7:00 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA., on Friday, April 11 at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Monica, St. Vincent DePaul Society of Methuen.
