Anthony "Tony" Gordon Guptill's Obituary
Anthony Gordon Guptill, 31, of Lowell, former longtime resident of Malden, passed away on November 13, 2020 at home. Tony as he was affectionately known to family and friends was born in Lawrence on November 19, 1988. Earning the endearing nickname of “Guppy” while in school attended Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School graduating with the Class of 2007.
Tony, who had a sense of humor that was larger than life, and a love for being artistic was known for as a generous, selfless, kind soul who would gladly help those who were less fortunate than himself. He was a person who enjoyed spending time with his family and was working on creating a better life for himself so he could be a better father to his cherished son. Tony found his calling in a job that he loved working for at the American Electroplating Company in Lawrence and also worked a second job at Gauthier Painting. He touched many lives in many circles and will be loved, honored and missed by all.
Tony is survived by his beloved son Jayden Anthony Guptill and his ever-loving parents; his mother, Tish (Gauthier) Sampson and her husband Tim of Methuen and his father, Gordon Anthony Guptill and his wife Diane of Malden. He is also the dear, protective, older brother to his two siblings; his brother, Michael Sampson and his sister, Tabatha Michienzi, both of Methuen and grandson to Pam Brouillard. Tony is also survived by his cherished soulmate, his girlfriend Christina Roy of Dracut. Additionally, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
To honor Tony’s wishes, all services will be privately held. A memorial meal will be held in his honor once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
