Anna Marie Panorelli's Obituary
Anna Marie (Garofalo) Panorelli, age 95, formerly of Methuen passed away peacefully at Academy Manor in Andover on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Anna was born on 73 Garden St., Lawrence, daughter of Rosario and Anna (Garofalo) Garofalo of Melilli, Sicily.
Anna was raised and educated in Lawrence and worked for the Stillman Shoe Company in Lawrence from 1943-1946 where she met her husband Joseph Panorelli. Then she worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Lawrence when she married June 16, 1946. She later worked for the Lawrence Maid Shoe Shop for many years until finally retiring at General Service Foam Company in Andover in 1981. Anna was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed making draperies for friends and family. She also designed her sister’s wedding gown.
She fulfilled her life-long dream of owning and decorating her home she had built in Methuen where her parents retired in their later years. Anna hosted extended family holiday gatherings for all at her home. Her Christmas lasagna was a family favorite.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Joseph Panorelli, her brother Domenic Garofalo, and sister Josephine Petteruti and nephews. Anna is survived by her brother Vincent Garofalo and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
