Ann M. Fraize's Obituary
Ann M. (Surawski) Fraize, 75, of Kingston, NH, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Exeter Hospital, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lorande (Panneton) Surawski.
Ann was raised in Lawrence, MA, and proudly graduated from Lawrence High School in the Class of 1968. Above all else, Ann was a devoted homemaker who put her family first in everything she did. Her love showed up in a thousand quiet ways—through care, patience, and a constant presence that made everyone feel safe and welcome.
In 1999, Ann made her home in Kingston, NH, a community she grew to love dearly and where she built a life filled with love, kindness, and quiet joy. Nothing brought Ann more happiness than her family, and she shared a particularly special bond with her beloved grandson, Charlie, who was truly the light of her life.
Ann had a huge heart, especially for animals. She was known for rescuing stray cats, looking out for wildlife, and nurturing anything that needed a little extra care. Her garden was one of her greatest joys and a beautiful reflection of her gentle, nurturing spirit. She loved going for car rides, soaking in the simple pleasures of everyday life, playing scrabble, and spending time with the people she loved most.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, George Edmund Fraize of Kingston, NH; cherished children, Lisa Fraize and her husband, Dave Forgue of Plaistow, NH, Steven Fraize of Cape Neddick, ME, and Cynthia Fraize of Methuen; adored sisters, Mary Spolarich and her husband, Ronald of Methuen, and Janet Codair and her husband, Jim of Eliot, ME; her special grandson, Charlie Trussell of Methuen; nieces, Jennifer Cianciolo, Rebecca Delmonico, and Sara Codair; and great-niece, Sophia Cianciolo.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. At the request of the family, all guests are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Greenwood Cemetery, North Road, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann’s memory can be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, (c/o TNR), 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
Methuen Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fraize family during this time of remembrance and support.
