Angelo P. Piazza's Obituary
Lawrence, MA ? Angelo P. Piazza, 85, died today December 17, 2008 at the Lawrence General Hospital. Born and educated in Lawrence to Salvatore and Josephine (Natale) Piazza, Angelo was a longtime resident of both Lawrence and Florida.
During World War II, Mr. Piazza served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. rpior to being honorable discharged. For many years he worked as a maintenance supervisor at Western Electric. Angelo was a communicant of St. Monica?s Church and according to his family, was viewed by many people as a man who made life a little bit better. He enjoyed traveling, golfing in Florida and had a great love for music. Angelo was mechanically inclined and was known to be able to fix anything.
The widower of Simone C.F. (LaBerge), Angelo is survived by his daughter Brenda J. and her Husband Donald P. Daignault of Bradford, one brother, John Piazza of Methuen, nephew Frank Piazza Jr. , sisters, Josephine, Mary and Jenny, 6 grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Sean, Marc, Gail and Tara, 5 great grandchildren, Codey, Alyssa, Shane, Ashley, and Abigail. Angelo was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter, Donna Marie and his brothers Samuel, Paul, and Frank Piazza Sr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends may call from 5-9 PM, TODAY ONLY, Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A mass of Christian burial will take place on SATURDAY Morning, Dec. 20, at 9 o?clock in St. Monica?s Church with burial to follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
