Angelina M. O'Leary's Obituary
Angelina “Angie” M. (Campiola) O’Leary, age 97, of Methuen MA, died Sunday March 27, 2022 of natural causes with her sons at her side, after a brief period of declining health.
Angie was born in Lawrence, MA, to the late Pietro and Andreanna (Loffredo) Campiola. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1941. She was a long-time parishioner of first Holy Rosary Parish and then for over 60 years of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. She regularly attended Mass at both St. Theresa’s Church and St. Augustine’s Chapel. After retirement, she was active in the Methuen Senior Center. Angie was totally dedicated to her family, raising three children and later in life was responsible for two of her granddaughters. She was celebrated as an excellent cook by all who knew her.
Angelina was predeceased in 1992 by her beloved husband of 35 years, Francis D. O’Leary; her sisters Ann, Palma and Rita; and her brothers, Nicholas, Pasquale “Bucky” and Castro “Gus”.
She is survived by her by her son, Dennis O’Leary and his wife, Maria of Salem, NH, and her son, David O’Leary of Methuen, MA, and her daughter, Andrea Bourassa of Haverhill, MA; as well as her beloved sister, Jean (Campiola) Bergeron of Methuen, MA. She will be sadly missed by her four grandchildren, Michael and Eileen of Salem, NH, Jessica and Jennifer of Methuen, MA; and also her three great-grandchildren, Angelique of Lawrence, MA,JJ and John of Methuen, MA. In addition, Angie also leaves many nieces and nephews whose lives she positively affected and cherished.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 3:00-6:00 PM at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Augustine Chapel, 128 Ames Street in Lawrence. Burial will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center, 172 Lawrence St, Lawrence, MA 01841.
