Amy Travers-Gangi's Obituary
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Amy Beth Gangi, loving wife and mother of triplet boys, died peacefully with family at her side at the age of 52.
Amy was born on December 31, 1969, in Gloucester, MA to Robert and Betsy (Roche) Travers. She managed several restaurants, worked in auto sales, and was a dental assistant before dedicating her time to raising her family. On October 28, 2000, she married Dr. Paul M Gangi, DMD of Methuen and eventually had triplet sons, Austin, Rylan, and Wesley, soon to graduate from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Ma. Amy was a kind-hearted person who was extremely generous to the people around her. She was a devoted mother who always put her sons and family first. Throughout the pandemic she was a lifeline to her father, making sure he was well stocked with everything he needed.
She is survived by her husband, Paul M. Gangi of Methuen and their three children, Austin Robert Gangi, Rylan Paul Gangi, and Wesley Philip Gangi; her father, Robert Travers of Andover; her two sisters, Susan (Travers) Worthy of Medfield, MA and Karin (Travers) Sullivan and her husband, Mark, of Walpole, MA; and five nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 3-7 pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home in Methuen, MA. The family strongly requests that masks be worn to protect against the spread of the Covid virus. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Amy’s name to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org/.
