Alfred R. Torrisi's Obituary
Alfred R. Torrisi, 89, formerly of Lawrence, MA passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Grace House of Windham, NH. Born on February 24, 1929, Alfred attended Lawrence public schools and proudly served in the U.S. Navy in W.W. II. He worked for John Hancock Insurance in the 1970’s and 80’s but retired from Phillips Academy Andover where he was the Dining Hall Supervisor.
Alfred was the loving husband of 58 years of the late Theresa (Kirouac) Torrisi who passed away in 2009.
Alfred and Theresa enjoyed going to Atlantic City and Foxwoods Casinos to see shows and play their hand at the slots. Alfred was a sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He grew up playing the card game “45’s” and won his share of 45 tournaments in Lawrence when he was a young man. He enjoyed vacationing at Newfound Lake, NH with his family & friends and loved to watch the Red Sox. He was always quick with a joke and loved to make people laugh.
Alfred will be sadly missed by his 3 children, Brenda Stevens and her husband Kenneth of Methuen, MA , Gary Torrisi and his wife Linda of Derry, NH and David Torrisi and his wife Janeth of Miami, FL. 4 grandchildren, Eric, Sherri, Kristina and Steven including their families, 1 Great Granddaughter, Keira and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and guests are invited to gather on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St, Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker St. Lawrence. In Lieu of flowers a contribution may be made in Alfred’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
