Dr Argenziano initiated a high school student exchange program with Silver Lake Regional HS and The American School Foundation of Guadalajara, Mexico while he was overseeing the school in Mexico. I had the blessing to be one of his exchange students in 1984 as I enjoyed a semester experiencing life with a loving family in Mexico, while their son lived with my family. I am grateful Dr A made this experience possible.

Dear Mrs. Argenziano and Family,
I met Al only once when I drove him around Haverhill trying to convince him to be our superintendent. It didn't heppen, and that was our loss. But Al continued to serve not only Sommerville but the educational system of the state. Though our time together was short, I saw in him a truly professional leader, a kind man, and a true son of the Merrimack Valley. DR. A was a man of many talents but his greatest one was being able to connect with people the minute he met them. There was something about him that drew you in. He gave you all his attention and made you feel so important. He loved his Somerville family and supported them in countless ways. I will be forever grateful for his friendship, wisdom, mentoring, and kindness. A true gentleman. May he now be in God's hands..
Condolences to Dr A's family- he was a great man. As our principal at Silver Lake Regional High School '74, he was always approachable and fun to be around. We were lucky to have him at our 45th reunion a few years back, with his huge, warm smile and excellent memory. I'm so sorry.
