Agamemnon "Meno" Mylonas' Obituary
Agamemnon “Meno” Mylonas, age 81 of Danville, NH and formerly of Lawrence passed away peacefully on January 6, 2019. Meno was born in Greece on September 6, 1938 to the late Theofilos and Sophia (Chiffotis) Mylonas. He immigrated to the United States in 1970. Meno enjoyed fishing, hunting, working and gardening. Very often, he could be found walking the neighborhood and greeting his neighbors. He enjoyed life. Meno will be remembered as a humorous person who was very humble and very generous. He also enjoyed traveling back to Greece every few years and traveling to his camp in Ft. Kent, ME. Meno was an employee of Malden Mills for over 30 years.
Meno was the beloved husband of Irene (Giannousis) Mylonas. He was the devoted father of Theo Mylonas and his wife Toula, and Billy Mylonas and his wife Paula. Meno was the loving grandfather of Reni and Arianna. He is also survived by two brothers in Greece and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Wednesday, January 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 71 Chandler Rd. Andover. Interment to follow at Edson Cemetery of Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Meno’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham, MA 02452.
