Adele M. (Crook) Fitzsimons' Obituary
Adele M. (Crook) Fitzsimons, 89, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Thursday August 22, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Catherine (Nauss) Crook. Adele grew up with her three siblings in Harrisburg PA and then Bridgeport CT, and graduated from Central High School, Class of 1952.
Adele was a very sweet lady who loved her grandchildren and great-grands. She loved to sing in the chorus at the Methuen Senior Center. She was very giving, always in a happy mood, loved to go out to eat, and was a devoted wife. She always remembered special holidays like birthdays and anniversaries. She loved sitting out in her three-season porch and watching the birds in the trees.
Adele will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, John Fitzsimons and his wife, Janet of Salem, NH, daughter, Deborah Gentile of Lawrenceville, GA, grandchildren, Jeffrey Fitzsimons and his wife, Jennifer, William Gentile and his wife, Ruby, Joseph Fitzsimons and his wife, Kylee, Adam Gentile, Scott Fitzsimons and his wife Sara, Susan Lavoie and her husband, Jeremy, fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Adele was predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years, John J. Fitzsimons, Jr., siblings, John Shanabrough, Rae Peccorelli, and Marie Manning.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday August 31, 2024, from 10 am to 12 pm, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. Her funeral service will take place at 12 pm in the funeral home, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
