Adel Lewandowski's Obituary
Adelajda ”Adel” Lewandowski, 79 of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10th at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA after a long illness. Born in Pawlowiczki, Poland on October 11th, 1943, she emigrated to the US in 1965 and was a long-time resident of Methuen.
Adel worked for 35 years at Malden Mills before her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jozef “Joe” Lewandowski; and sons, Mark Lewandowski and Raymond Lewandowski and his wife, Vivianne, and their children Tyler and Chali. She is also survived by sisters, Anna, Hildegarde, and Roza and brother, Sigfrid, from Poland and Germany. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 14th, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H, Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oral Cancer Foundation, https://donate.oralcancerfoundation.org/ or to a charity of one’s choice.
