About Us

Our Story

Founded in 1953 by Kenneth H. Pollard as the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, our establishment has been a trusted cornerstone of compassionate service in the Merrimack Valley for over 70 years.

In 1993, Michael and Maureen Pollard continued the legacy of dedication and heartfelt care. In 2021, lifelong fourth-generation Methuen resident Robert (Rob) Chase and his wife Sabrina proudly purchased the funeral home. In 2025, we officially renamed it Methuen Family Funeral Home to reflect our deep community roots and family-centered commitment—while remaining 100% family-owned and operated.

As a local who grew up here, Rob brings fresh perspective and energy to the traditions that have served families so well. Since taking ownership, we've made meaningful renovations to enhance comfort and serenity: new air conditioning, refreshed carpeting, a welcoming refreshments room, our tranquil Trinity water feature, and other thoughtful updates to create warm, peaceful spaces for reflection and healing.

We understand grief is one of life's most difficult experiences. Our dedicated team is available 24/7 to provide gentle guidance, helping families create meaningful services that honor a loved one's life, memories, values, and wishes—tailored with care and respect.

Serving Methuen, Lawrence, the Merrimack Valley, and Southern New Hampshire, we're honored to support our neighbors as we would our own family.

Testimonials

The most important thing about a funeral home is knowing you can truly trust the people caring for your loved one. When my good friend passed away, Rob and Sabrina at Methuen Family Funeral Home were absolutely wonderful. They were compassionate, patient, and incredibly professional, guiding us through everything with genuine care and respect. During such a difficult time, it meant so much to have people we could rely on. I’m very grateful for everything they did and highly recommend Methuen Family Funeral Home.

Our beautiful beloved mom passed away recently and while no one really expects their mom to pass, we were just lost and heartbroken. Mom passed on a holiday, so we weren't even sure if we could reach anyone that morning. We called the Methuen Family Funeral Home, they answered and said they would come out to the house within the hour. They arrived within a half hour of our call. They immediately offered their kind condolences for our loss and were very respectful in transferring our mom to the funeral home. The next day we met with Rob Chase, he immediately made us feel comfortable and with his great knowledge of the process, basically what was required and what was not, he assisted us through the whole process. There was absolutely no pressure at any time to include anything we didn't need or want. When we left his office we felt more like family, rather than just a business transaction. Over the next few days there was a few details of clothing, obituary and urn which was handled by Rob or Andy. Both would always ask how we were doing and if there was anything else they could do for us. The day of her mass, they handled everything beautifully and the mass thanks to Rob, was held in St. Augustine Chapel, which we know our mom certainly loved. Due to weather concerns we decided to wait until spring for the actual burial. Both Rob and Andy said to please call them when we are ready, they would be glad to make those arrangements for us at that time. Rob even called several days later to see how we were all doing. That personal touch really meant a whole lot to our family. As for the grounds and building inside, they are all beautifully maintained. *If we could give more than 5 stars, we certainly would, they deserve that and more. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend Rob Chase and his staff at the Methuen Family Funeral Home if you should find yourself in need of those services, they are the best. The Kennedy Family
