William "Bill" Vieweg's Obituary
William “Bill” Vieweg, age 83 of Methuen and formerly of Falmouth and Salem, NH passed away on May 26, 2021 at Academy Manor of Andover. Bill was born in Lawrence on November 27, 1937 to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Gordon) Vieweg. After Lawrence High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy. He enjoyed Boxing in his younger years and he enjoyed weight lifting and going to the gym six days a week up until recently. He walked everywhere and enjoyed golfing and tennis and wintering in Naples Florida and on Marco Island for many years. Bill and his wife Gloria leave many friends at Winter Park in Naples Florida. Bill worked at Western Electric, Sears in Lowell and Sears in Falmouth Massachusetts.
Bill was the beloved husband of Gloria (Howard) Vieweg with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Wendy Wolf, Deborah Rand and her husband Carl, Cynthia Reed, and Patricia Mary Hixson and her husband David. Bill was the loving grandfather of Carrie, Katherine, Meaghan, Emily, Stephanie, Rachel, Taylor, Alexis, Christopher, William, Ryan, Jon, and Frank. He was the cherished great-grandfather of 11. Bill was the dear brother of the late Frank Vieweg. He is also survived by his brother in-law Ronald Howard.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen.
