Lawrence H. "Larry" Mullin III's Obituary
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence H. “Larry” Mullin III, who departed this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Lowell on August 28, 1961, Larry was the beloved son of the late Lawrence H. Mullin Jr. and Dolores E. Mullin. He was educated in the Lowell public school system and went on to have a successful career as a sales manager in the pressure-sensitive label industry.
He was a friend to all he met. The many stories he loved to tell were only surpassed by his kindness and overwhelming quiet generosity. Words cannot express the man who Larry was, or the insurmountable sense of grief and loss we feel at the sudden passing.
Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially cooking his famous prime rib for Christmas dinner, traveling to Jamaica, and playing Keno at Garrison’s. Larry also had a love for gambling and cherished every moment spent with his family. Above all, his grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy.
He was predeceased in life by his parents; son, Brian E. Mullin; and siblings, Susan Bergeron and Michael Mullin
Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy Christine (McComish) Mullin of Lowell; children and their spouses, Christopher L. Mullin and his wife, Ashley of Lowell, and Kathleen L. Mullin and her fiancé , Daniel Reardon of Calabash, NC; siblings, Elizabeth Saunders and her husband, Brad of Sandown, NH and John R. Mullin and his wife, Susan of Merrimac; brothers-in-law, Russell McComish of Methuen, and David McComish and his wife, Cheryl of Atlantic Beach, NC. Larry also leaves four grandchildren who were absolutely the joy of his life, Lucas Mullin, Kyle Mullin, Emma Reardon, and Boston Reardon. In addition, he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful new and lifelong friends.
The family would like to thank the Oncology Care Unit at Lowell General Hospital for their unwavering support, friendship, and care given to Larry during his time under their care.
Family and friends who were touched by Larry in their lives are invited to his calling hours on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 NOON at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at 12:00 NOON in the funeral home chapel. Donations be made in his memory to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mullin family.
