June M. (Rancourt) Godin's Obituary
June M. (Rancourt) Godin, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10th, at Henry C. Nevins Home in Methuen. Born on August 28th, 1927, in Woburn, Massachusetts, June was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Leah (LaRochelle) Rancourt. She moved to Methuen as a young girl and made it her cherished home throughout her life.
June was preceded in death by her devoted husband Robert G. Godin, and her eldest son, Robert H. Godin. June and Bob would’ve celebrated their 76th anniversary this upcoming April. She is survived by her loving children: Diane M. Macy and her husband, Phillip of North Andover, Carol E. Fiorante and her husband, Joseph of Methuen, and David M. Godin of Hawaii. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her grandchildren: Joseph Fiorante and his wife, Briana of Methuen, Stephanie Fiorante of Methuen, Lowell Godin of Hawaii, and Matthew Macy and his partner, Meghan Beckett of Medford.
Her grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of staying over at Mimi's and enjoying her homemade crepes. June is also survived by her three great-grandsons, Joseph, Michael, and Gennaro.
June was an active member of the St. Claire League, Nevins Memorial Library Book Club, and the Senior Center of Methuen. She found joy in spending time with her family, watching sports, enjoying her lobster rolls at the Clam Box, playing the piano, beating everyone at 45's, and immersing herself in her books.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Station A at Nevins for their exceptional care of their June Bug.
