Irene A. (Cote) Tucci's Obituary
Irene A. (Cote) Tucci, 86, of Salisbury, former longtime resident of Methuen and Salisbury, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020 at the Royal Meadowview Center in North Reading. Born in Haverhill on August 4, 1933 to the late Carl and Irene Cote, she graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1951. As a devout lifelong Catholic, Irene was a communicant at St. Monica’s Parish and Star of the Sea Parish. She worked for many years until retirement as an administrator for Malden Mills. As the beloved matriarch of her family with whom she loved spending time with, she was affectionately known as Renie. Irene enjoyed the simple pleasures in life from reading, walking, entertaining, spoiling her grandchildren, and playing bingo. She was a woman who faced many of life’s unique challenges and touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Irene is survived by her three loving children; her daughter Jolene White and her husband Wayne of Woburn, her son Mark Tucci and his wife Linda of Stoneham, and her son Scott Tucci of Salisbury. She was the beloved grandmother to her four grandchildren; Lily Tucci, J.R. Tucci, Michael White and Victoria Tucci. Irene was the dear sister to Dorothy Ippolito of New Hampshire and Barbara Quintal of Florida, and was the favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was prematurely predeceased by her husband Raymond Tucci in 1977 and also four of her siblings; Joan Cote, Carl Cote, Mary-Lou George, and Arthur Cote.
