Stanley M. Kosowicz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

NORTH READING, MA ? Stanley M. Kosowicz 60 of North Reading, formerly of Lawrence died December 22, 2007 unexpectedly at the Wichester Hospital. Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Stanley M. and Mildred H. (Lavigne) Kosowicz. Brother of Stella K. ad her husband W. Eric Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and also brother of the late Francis J. Kosowicz. Known to his friends as Stan, he graduated from Westford Academy and completed his studies at East Coast Areo Tech in Bedford, MA. He spent the next 3 years in the United States Army and was a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. For the past 24 years he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in North Reading. Stan was an avid outdoorsman. He spent many happy summers with his family at Old Orchard Beach, Maine and survived the New England winters skiing at the White Mountains. Fishing and hunting were also a favorite pastime. Stan was never to far from his tools; he enjoyed working on cars and could fix anything. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and was hoping to see the Pats go to the Super Bowl. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Kathleen M. Kosowicz, daughters Kolleen and Kristen Kosowicz all of Lawrence, MA. ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00p.m. ? 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. at St. Monica?s Church in Methuen. Burial will be held privately with the family at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
