Sebastian “Busty” A. Faro, 63 of Methuen & Seabrook, passed away on Friday February 14, 2020 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, Joyce A. (Petteruti) Faro, to whom he was married for 33 years and will continue to love “to the moon and back.” Born in Lawrence on April 1, 1956, he was the son of the late Vincent and Nora (Sweeney) Faro. Sebastian attended and graduated from the Holy Rosary School in Lawrence and graduated from the Greater Lawrence Technical High School. He worked at Lucent Technologies/Western Electric/AT&T for 21 years until his retirement. As a professional Accordionist, Sebastian was famously known in New England for being one of the greatest players around. He loved to entertain at many venues throughout the area; his career highlight was working for MaryAnn Esposito at her annual gala at Mohegan Sun. He was a staple performer at the Feast of the Three Saints in Lawrence. He was also a former Accordionist with the Italian Serenaders. The music he played derived from many cultures all performed with passion and respect. At home he shared this passion with his Grandchildren and family. Along with his love for the Accordion, Sebastian also started playing the drums with the Holy Rosary School Green Berets Marching Band during his youth. He enjoyed “Jamming” on his drums covering songs from the decades all by ear. His talents also came to light anytime he sat at his or any piano that he stumbled upon. Music has flowed through Sebastian his whole life, and his gift was the ability to set a lasting memory for anyone who had the opportunity to hear him perform. The sound of his Accordion will echo through the Merrimack Valley for eternity. Besides his love for all things music, his favorite hobbies included enjoying the beach with his wife, going for walks with his grandchildren, spending time with friends while enjoying a good meal or playing a game of pool and (secretly) loved his numerous trips to Disney World with his family. His children and grandchildren were his heart and soul. Sebastian will be deeply missed by his wife, Joyce; two children, Anthony S. Faro and his wife, Jennifer of Methuen; Analisa Faro-Lak and her husband, Andrew of Seabrook, NH; and 4 grandchildren, Gianna, Lorenzo, Angelina, and Giuseppe; many nieces and nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Lucia Faro whom he has deeply missed for the last 5 years. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Sebastian’s life by gathering for calling hours Friday, February 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:30 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen.
