John A. Markey age 67 of Hudson, NH, died Tuesday, surrounded by his family, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA. John was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and was educated. He was a resident of Lakeland, FL for the past 10 years. He was a US Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. John was a technician for Verizon. He was an ordained minister and an author who had his book published, He loved computers and loved spending time with his family in the mountains, especially his grandchildren. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Lynn (Fleming) Markey. He is survived by his Daughter: Jennifer C. Markey and John West of Salem, NH, Son: Christopher and his wife Andrea Markey of Danville, NH, Grandchildren: Zachary, George, Kyle, Elizabeth, and Dillan, Brother Michael and his wife Virginia Markey of Georgia, Niece: Michelle McCormick of Methuen. Along with several other sister and bother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 15th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 16th at 11 Am at St. Monica?s Parish, Methuen, MA.
