Janice B. Parent Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

ANDOVER - Janice B. (Shanck) Parent, 88 of Andover, MA passed away Sunday April 27, 2014 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Lawrence, MA, she graduated from the Punchard School Andover and for 30 years she was employed with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA. Janice owned throughbred horses at both Rockingham Park in Salem, NH and Suffolk Downs in Boston. She was a communicant of Christ Church in Andover, MA, was a member of the VFW Women's Auxillary Post # 8546 in Salem, NH, enjoyed cooking, bowling and watching sports on televison. The widow of Rudolph Parent, she is suvvived by her daughter and son, Janice L. Parent of Andover, MA and Richard A. Parent and his wife Irina of Epping, NH. Janice also leaves her grandchildren; Michelle Vanesse and her husband Timothy of Bow, NH and Jason R. Parent of Derry, NH. Great-grandchildren, Kayla Parent, Kayden and Parker Vanesse. Janice was pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law Irene Parent and also Janice's companion of 18 years, Alexander Monius. ARRANGMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday from 3:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00a.m. in Christ Church in Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
