METHUEN ? Gladys C. (Coffin) Carbary age 87 died Monday November 27, 2006 at Methuen Health and Rehablitation Center. Born and educated in Newton, MA, she graduated from Newton High School with the Class of 1937. She attended New England Deaconess School of Nursing and graduated with the Class of 1941. For 60 years she was a registered nurse with the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. For 20 years she was a rest home administator in Newton, MA. She was a member of the Alumnae Association School of Nursing at New England Deaconess Hospital. She was a cub and girl scout counselor, a seamstress, antigue collector. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening, square dancing and enjoyed entertaining. The widow of Edward m. Carbary. She is survived by 1 daughter Susan E. Andrews and her husband Earle of Methuen, MA. 4 sons, Forrest R. Carbary and his wife Ellenor of Rosemont, MN, Ronald E. Carbary and his wife Bonnie of Meredith, NH, Robert B. Carbary of Long Beach, CA, Richard B. Carbary and his wife Naomi of Oregon. 1 sister Janet Paxton of Franklin, MA. 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Atlantic Union College/Glenda E. Davis Fund for Nursing Students, Office for Advancement P.O. Box 1000 South Lancaster, MA 01561. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00p.m. ? 2:00p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home.
