George R. Byron Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

METHUEN - George R. Byron 90 of Methuen died Friday October 9, 2009 at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover, MA. Born in Exeter, NH he was the son of George and Olivine (Gagnon) Byron. He attended Haverhill schools . During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged from service at Fort Devens, MA in 1945. For more than 30 years he was a custodian in the Methuen School system before retiring The widower of Madeline (Moran) Byron he is survived by his children, Sheila M. Clarke her husband Carl of Salem, NH, Sandra M. Sheehan of Methuen, MA, Sharon A. Searle and her husband Paul of Haverhill, MA and George R. Byron and his with Bertha of Londonderry, NH. Sister-in-law Katherine Byron of St. Petersburg, FL Brother-in-law Leonard Moran of Carlsbad, CA 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to Beacon Hospice 350 Main Street Haverhill, MA 01830. At the request of the family there are no calling hours. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa?s Church in Methuen, MA.. Entombment will take place in St. Mary?s Mausoleum in Lawrence.
