Esther P. Driscoll

LAWRENCE, MA - It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Kennedy Driscoll. She passed away peacefully on February 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Cornelius Darby Driscoll to whom she was married for 64 years. She was the loving and devoted mother and mother in law of : Roy and Cornelia Gale of Toronto, Canada, Maureen and Albert Parchuck of Methuen, MA James and Patricia Driscoll of Seabrook, NH, Cornelius and Maribeth Driscoll of North Hampton, NH, and Patrick and Pamela Driscoll of Lawrence, MA. She was the cherished grandmother to: Maggie, Joey, Katie, Patrick, Jake, and Connor Driscoll and a special aunt to Mary Dowling of North Andover. She was born on August 5, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts as the daughter of Frank and Mary (Scannell)Kennedy. She is predeceased by her brother Dr. Joseph Kennedy and her sister Mrs. Rosemary Miller. Esther was a graduate of Lawrence High School and MacIntosh School of Business. She worked as a school secretary in the Lawrence School Department. Esther was an extremely loving mother and a gentle, spiritual woman. Esther shared the virtues of kindness, compassion and integrity to everyone whose life she touched. She was a member of the Lady Elk?s Organization of which served as president from 1981 to 1982. A special thank you to Salem Haven Nursing Care Facility in Salem NH, Esther?s most recent residence, where she received outstanding care and compassion from the nursing staff. ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Monica?s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery of North Andover. Friends will be warmly received on Monday, February 17, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, Mass.
